New England Tips From Better Homes and Gardens

Deer eating your garden? We get a lot of that in New England.

Better Homes and Gardens Magazine recommends several “deer resistant” good looking plants.

Bee Balm

Bee Balm

Bee Balm is a great choice.  It is a good looking perennial that attracts pollinators including some interesting birds. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil.

If you have the sun for it, Golden Marguerites are another great option. They are also perennials and they have beautiful yellow which complement the red Bee Balm.  They have a strong smell, which may be what keeps the deer from snacking too often.
